How to get your mum to read your Bible (with you)

This article is not so much about the lost daughters, but rather about the lost daughters of our grandmothers - that is OUR own MOTHERS. Have you heard about the lost generation of the late 70-ies; the promiscuous 80-ies and all that went wrong afterwards?!
In the meantime, by the grace of the Protector, many young women got saved though friends, whose parents happened to stay firm believers. It was a fresh air to many new believers to see a godly examples of fathers and mothers who actually provide a safe family environment, where "divorced" is a word only used to describe the neighbors or extended family members; where daughters get enough attentions and are listened to in order to identify their goals in life; where fun and jokes are the order of the day after all; where - surprisingly - family wait for each other to sit together on the table and have a Sunday lunch, for example.

Rare view for a child born in the 80-es and after. Once you have experienced it, you want to integrate this hilariously achievable model into your own broken family or what is left-over. But, girls, once given your life to the Creator, you ARE overcomes and all your prayer will BE HEARD, if they are to glorify the CREATOR of life, light and love.

Here is how Annie managed to integrate her 'lost to the world' mammy Maya. "I have tried to get my mother's attention for a long  time, trying to talk to her an get her to play games with me, but it never really worked; she would either prefer to chat with friends over lost relationships with guys, to criticize men, including my own dad, or, going out, trying to build another impossible relationship with another drifter guy, who needed a mum of his now, now that he was grown-up."
"Then I went to university in another city and met a missionary woman, who built by divine commission a close hearty relationship with me just by sitting together and reading The Word of God. I have learned to pray with this spiritual leader of mine about my necessities - my jobs, my exams, my studies and the future ahead. This brought so much peace and confidence in me that I began to see where my mum was severely lacking wisdom and guidance. At some point, after graduation, I  decided to live close to her and be able to share a bit of the same Spirit with her, to help her overcome poor self-esteem and the sense of lost life. Well, it works, although it might be draining, but God always rewards the efforts. After years, I think, my mother is ready to become a firm believer with her mind set on God's word and clarity in many areas of her previously confused life."
